Cool Guitar Progression
Descending Bass Line Arpeggio
Custom Search
This cool guitar progression has a block of unchanging tones, with a descending bass line (C-B-A-G).
This is a songwriting idea, most suitable for a verse. The fingering is important to note. While the 3 and 2 fingers are anchored to F sharp and D respectively, the one finger provides the movement downward.
Cool Chord Progression in Tab

As indicated below the tab, this progression can be fingerpicked or flatpicked.
The fingerpicking pattern shown is appropriate, but you can also drag the thumb for the lower two tones, and use the index and middle for the 3rd and 2nd strings.
If you flatpick, be sure to maintain a down-up alternating pattern.
