Guitar Chords in G flat Major
The guitar chords in G flat Major are: Gb, Abm, Bbm, Cb, Db, Ebm, and Fo (Fdim).
These are the 'same' chords as the key of F#. Yet, rather than having 6 sharps, we have 6 flats (everything but the F). In this case we could say that we have 2 naturals (B and F- since the Cb ' is' B). This key shares the 'same' tritone as the key of C.

Start the process
- Fret all of the guitar chords in G flat.
- Practice the scale. Notice you have a choice where you play the Cb tone.
- Play the Chord Scale, with vigor.
- Play a progression, such as I-vi-ii-V7-I.
- Write your own progressions.
Check out the circle of 5ths. This key is in position '6 o'clock.' Rather convenient, 6 o'clock is 6 flats. Of course, the key of F# is the same tone set as the key of Gb, so 6 o'clock is also 6 sharps.
If Gb and F# are the same, why are the guitar chords fingered different than the key of F#?
Rather than leaving the chords the same, I decided to use different forms for this key:
Guitar chords in G Flat and all other keys
Guitar Chords - same key - different name - F# Major
